On Duty (OD) Leave Policy

At St. Theresa's Arts and Science College, we recognize the importance of academic and professional development activities that contribute to the growth of our faculty and the institution. To support this, the college provides On Duty (OD) leave for eligible academic engagements, fostering a culture of academic excellence and professional growth.

Policy Highlights
  • Faculty members are entitled to 10 OD days per academic year.
  • OD leave can be availed for the following purposes:
    • Paper Valuation
    • External Examiner Duties for Practical Examinations
    • Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs)
    • Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences (as approved by the institution)
  • Faculty members availing OD leave must obtain prior approval from the Head of the Department and Principal, and submit relevant documents upon return.
Application Process
  1. OD leave must be requested in advance with proper documentation.
  2. Prior approval from the Head of the Department and the Principal is mandatory.
